Welcome! 👋
Want to keep tabs on stocks, ETFs, or even commodities without buying them yet? The Watchlist on eToro is your perfect sidekick. Here’s how to use it like a pro.
Let’s jump in! 🚀
Step 1: Open Up Your Watchlist
When you log in to eToro, you’ll land on your dashboard.
Look to the left-hand side menu and click on “Watchlist.”Boom — you’ll be taken straight to “My Watchlist,” the default list that comes with your account.
Step 2: Explore the Views
At the top, you’ll see a few handy filters:
All – Everything in your watchlist
Portfolio – Only what you actually own
Stocks, ETFs, Commodities – Narrow it down to what you’re interested in
🚀 Quick tip 🚀 If something shows up in Portfolio view, it means you’ve invested in it.
If it only appears under All — you're just watching it.

Step 3: Understand What You're Looking At
Each asset listed shows:
Ticker + Name on the left
A little pie chart (hover to see your P&L and total value)
1-day change
Mini chart preview
Buy/Sell buttons — yup, you can trade directly from here
You’ll also see Investor Sentiment — a % of eToro users who are currently invested in that asset. It’s a neat little market pulse check.
Step 4: Switch Layouts If You Like
Top-right corner, you’ll spot layout options:
Tile view – a visual grid
List view – a clean, simple scroll
Oli’s take: I prefer the list view — way easier to digest.
Step 5: Set a Watchlist as Default
If you want a particular watchlist (like your Portfolio) to always open first:
Click into it
Hit “Set as Default”Now every time you go to Watchlist, that one opens automatically.
Step 6: Set Price Alerts
Want to be notified when something hits a certain price?
Click the three dots next to the asset
Choose “Set Alert”
Enter your target price (e.g., $210 for Amazon)
Done!
To manage alerts:
Go to the stock’s dashboard
Scroll below the chart to “Set Price Alert” and click “Manage”
Step 7: Use One-Click Trading (If You’re Confident)
Speed trader? Here’s how to activate One-Click Trading:
Go to Settings > Trading > One-Click Trading
Turn it on
Add the asset you want (e.g., Amazon)
Set a default amount (like $10 or $100)
Now when you click Buy, it instantly opens a trade with that amount. No pop-ups, no confirmations. Be careful — it’s fast.
Step 8: Add or Create a New List
Got lots of ideas? Keep things tidy:
Hit “Create New List” at the bottom
Or, on any asset page, click “Add to List” (top right) and either add it to an existing list or create a new one
🚀 Final tip 🚀
Customize Your Watchlist However You Like
Move things around. Add commodities, cryptos, or currencies. It’s your space to keep an eye on whatever you’re curious about.
